For years, I looked like I had everything together. I built a career as a therapist and social worker, helping other people navigate life's hardest moments, while privately battling my own relentless overthinking, anxiety, and self-doubt. I was always anticipating the next problem, replaying conversations, questioning my decisions, and pouring so much of myself into everyone else that I barely recognized who I was anymore.
Eventually, I realized I wasn't missing another coping strategy—I was trying to solve the wrong problem. I didn't need more ways to manage my anxiety after it showed up. I needed to understand why my mind kept getting pulled into the same patterns in the first place.
That realization changed everything.
